Honda Type R at Spa

As part of our World Touring Car work with Honda, we were commissioned to undertake the social media to promote a celebration event for Honda Civic Type R at the Spa Francorchamps WTCC.

The event was a huge success. Over 300 Honda owners converged on the Belgian track to watch the racing, take a first look at the brand new Type R Concept and drive three laps of the famous circuit.

Social media throughout the build-up, the event itself and the follow-up saw tailored trending on Twitter across several countries. Many of the fans uploaded photographs of their trip to a dedicated portal, while fans globally joined in to vote for their favourite journey. All of this activity resulted in the social media reach across the weekend hitting seven figures, as well as unprecedented social engagement for Honda Europe from this type of event.
